About A More Perfect Union

As the United States approaches its 250th anniversary, A More Perfect Union invites artists to reflect on what America has been, what it is, and what it might yet become. Rather than seeking a single narrative, this exhibition aims to embrace complexity, holding space for pride and progress alongside tension and contradiction.

In the context of the America250 commemoration, this exhibition centers on voices from the Columbus area. We welcome work grounded in personal experience, local history, inherited stories, and imagined futures. Artists are encouraged to explore themes of patriotism, democracy, labor, identity, belonging, freedom, history, and community.

Selected works will come together to form a collective portrait of our community, connecting past and future. This is an invitation to contribute to a broader conversation about where we are now and what comes next.
