Performing Arts Forum
In March 2026, Columbus Area Arts Council convened performing arts and venue leaders from across southeastern Indiana at Park Theatre Civic Center for a regional forum focused on connection, reflection, and collaborative visioning. Participants explored shared opportunities, barriers, and actionable strategies for strengthening the long-term sustainability of the performing arts ecosystem through facilitated discussion and collaborative problem-solving. Guided by Sharon Andrews, the session emphasized alignment across organizations, stronger regional relationships, and a more connected cultural landscape.
Grant Writing Webinar
In February 2026, Columbus Area Arts Council hosted a regional grant writing webinar for nonprofit organizations and public entities focused on practical tools, common questions, and real-world strategies for navigating the grant process. Led by Paige Sharp, the session supported participants in building stronger grant narratives, clearer approaches, and greater confidence in pursuing funding opportunities.
Artist Proposal Webinar
In July 2026, Columbus Area Arts Council hosted "Rejection to Recognition: Building Artist Proposals for Galleries, Grants, and More," a workshop for artists focused on practical tools, common questions, and real-world strategies for navigating grant applications, requests for proposals, and calls for artwork. Facilitated by Indy Arts Council, the session supported participants in identifying strong creative opportunities, recognizing red flags, preparing for success, and responding constructively to rejection.
