​On June 26, 2026 our community gathered for a delightfully strange night at The Commons as Monster Ball raised vital funds to support the arts in Columbus. Guests arrived in imaginative looks, danced late into the evening, and embraced the night’s playful spirit. It was an evening full of surprises, connection, creative energy, and generosity.

 

Through Fund A Need, guests helped launch the Mill Race Monster Festival. A new community celebration inspired by Columbus’s legendary local cryptid. Rooted in the 1974 sightings at Mill Race Park, the festival will bring the story to life through art, creativity, and shared experience.

Funds raised will help build artist-led installations, hands-on activities, performances, and imaginative experiences throughout the park. The goal is simple and powerful: create a one-of-a-kind festival that invites the community to participate, tell our story, and build a tradition that belongs to Columbus.

These gifts will bring this vision to life, turning what's possible on paper into something people can walk through, touch, and remember for years to come.
