About 50/50
Now in its fifth year, 50/50 is an opportunity for community members to contribute to a group exhibition at 411 Gallery. 4” x 4” panels are provided by the Columbus Area Arts Council – for free – to 50 participants, who each create a unique work of art. The 50 artworks are sold for $50 each, benefiting future programming at 411 Gallery.
Through 50/50, CAAC seeks to lower barriers to accessing art. This equitable opportunity allows all local artists, crafters, and creators to show their work in a gallery exhibition. In addition, by keeping the price point low, a broad audience can purchase these original artworks. With a diverse group of local talent, 50/50 continues to generate excitement each year.
Tiny Talk/s:
the stories behind every 50/50
Personal, political, and punny: every 50/50 has a story that deserves to be heard. Join us for Tiny Talk/s featuring the artists, crafters, and creators participating in 50/50. Each artist will have an allotted time to discuss their piece, inspiration, challenges, or what the work means to them. Like CAAC’s Small Talk/s series, these Tiny Talk/s are meant to be informal. Irreverence and humor are encouraged.
