About the event
About this event
Lisa Pelo, artist and owner of Hot Blown Glass and president and CEO of Glass Arts Indiana, brings her mobile glass studio back to downtown Columbus! Sign up for a one-hour time slot to work with Lisa and her assistants. Lisa’s original handmade glass artwork will also be available for purchase.
In this session, participants will create a glass pumpkin after a brief tutorial, with assistance from Lisa and her team of glass artists. Each piece is unique and can be customized with an array of colored glass.
Please note that this workshop is for glass pumpkins. To sign up for Lisa's other workshops, see the Eventbrite listings for glass infinity bowls (Friday, 10/21) or glass paperweights (Saturday, 10/22).
All Weekend: Good Vibes Only
Bring your friends and family to watch you work! Experience 6th Street Arts Alley as a pedestrian-only space throughout the entire weekend. We’ll have the street closed, stools out and umbrellas up so you can have a picnic or some sips while taking in the atmosphere. Be sure to stop in 411 Gallery on Friday and Saturday to view "Holding Space" by Amy Greely and "Living in Color" by Daren Redman.
For more information, please visit www.artsincolumbus.org.
This program is made possible by a grant from the Efroymson Family Fund, a fund of Central Indiana Community Foundation, and support from the City of Columbus.
Registration can be transferred but will not be refunded. Participants must be 10 years of age or older.
Items made in workshops will be available for pick-up the following day or at the Columbus Area Arts Council office: 431 6th Street, Tuesday – Friday // 12:00–4:00 pm, or by appointment. Contact: info@artsincolumbus.org or 812-376-2539.
