About the Project
A beloved community artwork is taking on new life at NexusPark with a fresh, collaborative twist. The Columbus Parks and Recreation Department and Columbus Area Arts Council, in partnership with the Chicago-based design studio Could Be Design, is unveiling Carousel for Companionship, a reimagined version of Carousel for Columbus originally constructed in downtown Columbus for Exhibit Columbus’ 2023 cycle, Public By Design.
About the Artist and Design Team
Jenni Kiesler is a Columbus-based artist known for hand lettering, window art, and vibrant murals.
Could Be Design is a Chicago-based architecture and design studio led by Joseph Altshuler and Zack Morrison.

A Carousel for Columbus Mural

The original project, A Carousel for Columbus was a 2023 Exhibit Columbus, Public By Design installation created in collaboration with Columbus Museum of Art & Design.
CAAC gathered a team of volunteers to bring to life the mural for the public art installation, A Carousel for Columbus by Could Be Design. Led by artist Andrea Jablonski, our volunteers poured their passion into this project, working diligently over two days.
