6th Street Arts Alley Video Auditions
Selected performers will receive a $50 honorarium for participating.
The Columbus Area Arts Council invites local performers to participate in our upcoming 6th Street Arts Alley event, coinciding with the opening of our popular annual exhibition, “50/50: A Community Art Project.” The event is scheduled for December 5, from 5:00–7:00 pm, in the vibrant setting of 6th Street Arts Alley.
To apply, please complete the application form and include a link to a short video demonstrating your intended performance. The selection committee will choose 5 or 6 performers. We look forward to your submissions and to an unforgettable evening celebrating our community’s talent.
Eligibility: Performers must reside in Bartholomew County. For groups, at least one member must be a county resident. Each act may be a solo, duet, or small group piece. We welcome all forms of performance art, including dance, music, theater, comedy, etc.
Video Submission: Submit a link to a video of your performance or a quick, selfie-style video explaining your concept. Keep it simple, but bring your stage energy to the screen!
Audience: This is a family-friendly event. Performances should be suitable for all ages, though they don’t have to be specifically designed for children.
Venue: Performances will pop up along the 6th Street Arts Alley. We’ll provide basic mics, speakers, and a DJ for background music. Your act must fit within an area of 10' x 20'. We will not provide a stage or special flooring or accommodate a complex setup for this event.
Duration: Each performance should be 5-7 minutes.
Weather-ready: Suitable for outdoor conditions, including cold, light snow, or drizzle
