About The Exhibition
The 50/50 exhibition at 411 Gallery is a testament to our community's artistic talent. This annual showcase brings together a broad spectrum of creatives, from emerging voices to seasoned artists, each contributing a unique perspective. Through a vibrant mix of mediums, styles, and themes, 50/50 captures the range of visual expression within Columbus.
A theme of "place" has naturally emerged, reflecting the deep influence of our surroundings on local artists. Many works draw inspiration from Columbus’s built environment—its celebrated architecture and modern design legacy—while others are rooted in our area's natural landscape.
About 50/50
Since 2017, 50/50, A Community Art Project has invited local artists, designers, hobbyists, and crafters to join this group exhibition. The first 50 registrants receive a complimentary 4" x 4" wood block, which they take home and transform into an original work of art.
Works are sold for $50, with proceeds benefiting future exhibitions at 411 Gallery.
Through 50/50, CAAC seeks to lower barriers to accessing art. This equitable opportunity allows all local artists, crafters, and creators to show their work in a gallery exhibition. In addition, by keeping the price point low, a broad audience can purchase these original artworks. With a diverse group of local talent, 50/50 continues to generate excitement around local arts each year.

411 is a community arts gallery and cultural space for exhibitions, events, and collaborations. Managed by the Columbus Area Arts Council, 411 Gallery is located in downtown Columbus on the 6th Street Arts Alley, a creative hub at the heart of the city.
