First Fridays for Families is a free program geared toward children in pre-kindergarten through third grade. All First Fridays programs begin at 6:00 PM on the first Friday of each month from November through April and are held in the Nugent Custer Performance Hall in The Commons in downtown Columbus. New to the community in 2007, attending the First Fridays for Families events were the first time I felt a real connection to Columbus and the community. My family could have a free family “outing” that allowed our young daughters to interact with other children and to be introduced to the marvels of live music, plays and various performers. –Miranda Cross
Like most parents, the greatest gifts that I can give to my children are in experiences. Experiences that will shape and influence the way that they see the world. First Fridays for Families provides a window to art experiences that the whole community can share. –Ryan Brand
