ABOUT

ABOUT THE MASK PROJECT

The Mask Project engages local artists and designers to create custom fabric patterns for face masks that are not only useful, but also fun and fashionable. With the help of volunteers, CAAC aims to produce 7,500 free masks that will be available from safe pick-up locations throughout Bartholomew County. Through The Mask Project we hope artists, designers, crafters and sewists can serve not only as leaders and ambassadors of arts and culture, but also of public health.

This project is supported by a collective grant from these generous organizations:

Heritage Fund – the Community Foundation of Bartholomew County

Columbus Regional Health

Healthy Communities Proyecto Salud Action Team.

ARTISTS

ARTISTS AND DESIGNERS

Many creative professionals have been affected by COVID-19, and this project creates a new opportunity within the local creative economy. Local artists and designers were invited to create custom fabric patterns for masks. Through The Mask Project we hope artists and designers can serve not only as leaders and ambassadors of arts and culture, but also of public health.
