Cork Marcheschi, a San Francisco-based artist, created this colorful neon light sculpture as part of the Friendship Way project, a partnership with Columbus’ sister city Myoshi, Japan. Representing energy, light, and humor, it is most dramatic when viewed after dark. The artist uses light as a way to introduce a creative material to people who normally don’t venture into the world of fine art. The 80-foot long, 13 piece sculpture is one of Marcheschi’s smallest works.

The alley features brick pavers inscribed with names of residents of Miyoshi, Japan, a sister city to Columbus.
