COLUMBUS MURAL PROJECT :: SUMMER 2003 MURAL
Creativity Workshop, July 7-11, 2003
Dante Ventresca and Rebecca Hutton of Theater of Inclusion, Inc., led a creativity workshop at which Youth Services teens learned focusing techniques, developed their abilities to collaborate, and practiced leadership skills. They explored creativity through writing, drawing, movement, and public speaking. The week concluded with a public performance in The Commons.

Location: Columbus Animal Control Facility, 2730 Arnold Street
Artists Cathe Burris and Lydia Burris worked with ten teens and several counselors over three weeks to complete a mural on three sides of the exterior of the building as well as an interior mural. Staff from Animal Control educated the young people about animal rescue and adoption and organized future volunteer opportunities.
